We are Starkey's Auto Repair. A single location, 10 bay general repair shop in Honolulu, Hawaii. We are family owned and operated and we have been in business for 6 1/2 years. Our shop is busy, upbeat and professional and we are looking for a qualified Automotive Technician with some experience to add to our team.

This role would help us primarily with light/medium duty vehicles. As you can see from the photos, we work on all makes and models. You get to work on what you are comfortable with. We have a Euro specialist, heavy general, diagnostic and general repair. We have a very well rounded team of professionals.

Some of the Requirements of this Position:

• Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.

• Ability to use a PC, web browsers and various software programs.

• In-depth working knowledge of vehicles and their various systems.

• Ability to use scan tools and other common auto mechanics tools.

• Ability to gather a set of data, perform research, and draw a technical conclusion.

• A Safety oriented mindset and approach to your work.

• Current ASE Certifications, or currently pursuing accreditation. This is not a deal killer. This is more of a nice to have than a must have.

• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.

• Current drivers license is required (and you need to be insurable).

Some of What You'll Need to Be Able to Do:

• Following designed workflow procedures.

• Test driving customer vehicles.

• Inspecting vehicle components and recommending needed services.

• Managing repair work time against predefined labor times.

• Performing quality control checks to ensure proper repairs.

• Performing oil changes, brake repairs, steering and suspension repairs, etc.

• Aligning vehicle steering systems.

• Completing required paperwork and documentation.
